  • The integration exposes live rates from 115-plus airlines to Adhoc.Express users
  • Forwarders can Click & Book inside Adhoc.Express without switching to a separate platform
  • Ilja Danilov is CEO of Adhoc.Express; Frederic Bazin is Chief Commercial Officer at CargoAi
  • The partnership targets thousands of freight forwarding operators worldwide; no go-live date has been disclosed

CargoAi has wired its live-rate inventory — covering more than 115 airlines — into freight forwarder platform Adhoc.Express, letting users compare digital spot pricing against negotiated ad hoc offers before they book.

The link-up runs through CargoAi's Quote & Book API and a customized FlyWindow module embedded inside the Adhoc.Express environment. Rather than swapping between systems, forwarders now see CargoAi's live rates alongside their individually requested and negotiated ad hoc quotes inside a single screen, and can hit Click & Book the moment a price fits the shipment.

What does the integration actually do?

Adhoc.Express GmbH, a cargo communication provider for freight forwarders, routes ad hoc rate requests to multiple airlines, GSAs and brokers within seconds. Every request, response, counter-offer and chat thread stays centralized in the platform, giving the forwarder one auditable RFQ history per shipment.

CargoAi brings the digital, instantly bookable side of the market: real-time pricing across 115-plus airlines worldwide, delivered through an API that carriers and forwarders can bolt into existing tools. Layered together, the two systems let a forwarder run a parallel price check on every ad hoc shipment — the bespoke offers returned through Adhoc.Express on one side, the live bookable rates pulled from CargoAi on the other.

What does it mean commercially?

The deal reshapes the price-discovery flow on three levels:

  • Forwarders gain a wider live-rate pool to compare against individually negotiated ad hoc quotes on every shipment, without leaving the RFQ workflow.
  • Airlines and GSAs get a digital shelf for live capacity without standing up another forwarder-facing booking portal on their own stack.
  • Shippers working through forwarders on spot air cargo can expect tighter quote turnaround and broader carrier choice on unusual lane-and-weight combinations.

What are the principals saying?

"What we want is for the forwarder to make one decision in one place," said Ilja Danilov, CEO of Adhoc.Express. "CargoAi gives access to a wide range of live rates, including options that may not be available through other digital booking platforms. This is why I recommend checking CargoAi rates whenever you are looking for the right option for a shipment. With the integration into Adhoc.Express, our users can now compare these live rates directly with their individually requested ad hoc offers and choose the option that works best for them."

Frederic Bazin, Chief Commercial Officer at CargoAi, framed the agreement as a partnership extension rather than a technical integration. "Adhoc.Express embodies the kind of trusted partnership we seek, their commitment to operational excellence, combined with our Quote & Book API and customized FlyWindow feature, creates a powerful solution for the global freight forwarding community. Together, we are simplifying air cargo procurement for thousands of operators worldwide," he said.

What comes next?

Neither company has disclosed pricing changes or a go-live date. Existing Adhoc.Express customers will receive CargoAi's live rate feed through the next platform update, while CargoAi continues to expose the same content through its own portal and direct airline contracts.

With both vendors claiming an operator base measured in the thousands, the integration puts a wider live-rate pool behind each RFQ — a benchmark rival digital booking platforms will need to address as ad hoc air sourcing continues to migrate online.
