Key points05

  • Winter schedule runs 25 October 2026 to 27 March 2027 with 14 freighter, 112 wide-body belly and 54 European destinations.
  • Air France adds Cairo (CAI) with three weekly Boeing 777F freighter flights.
  • New CDG belly routes: Punta Cana 3x weekly on 777-300ER from November; Malé 2x weekly on A350-900 from December.
  • India freighter shifts from Mumbai (BOM) to Navi Mumbai (NMI) with two weekly 777F flights.
  • Seoul (ICN) freighter goes to three weekly flights, one standalone and two combined with Hong Kong.

Air France KLM Martinair Cargo will fly its winter 2026-27 schedule with 14 freighter destinations and 112 wide-body belly destinations worldwide, anchored at Paris Charles de Gaulle (CDG) and Amsterdam Schiphol (AMS), plus 54 European points. The season runs from 25 October 2026 to 27 March 2027.

The headline additions: a new Boeing 777F freighter service to Cairo (CAI), three weekly flights from Air France, and two new belly destinations out of CDG — Punta Cana (PUJ) and Malé (MLE).

That Cairo move is the one freight forwarders will scan first. Three weekly 777F rotations give shippers dedicated main deck capacity between Europe and North Africa, running independent of passenger operations. If a passenger route gets trimmed or a belly holds back, the freighter still lifts the cargo. That matters for time-sensitive North African flows — pharma, perishables, machinery parts — where belly space has always been the constraint.

In India, the Air France freighter shifts from Mumbai (BOM) to Navi Mumbai International Airport (NMI) for the winter, holding at two weekly 777F flights. Same airport system, new infrastructure. Shippers routing India-Europe freight should confirm which customs gate their forwarder now uses.

What does the wider network change for shippers?

On the KLM/Martinair side, the Boeing 747 freighter network keeps linking Amsterdam with the Americas, Africa and Asia. One capacity adjustment stands out: Seoul (ICN) goes to three freighter frequencies a week, one standalone and two combined with Hong Kong (HKG). That lifts dedicated capacity on a lane where electronics and e-commerce demand tends to outgrow belly supply by late autumn.

From CDG, the new belly services are:

  • Punta Cana (PUJ) — three flights per week on the Boeing 777-300ER, starting November
  • Malé (MLE) — two flights per week on the Airbus A350-900, starting December

These are leisure-driven passenger routes with cargo riding underneath. The Dominican Republic and the Maldives both generate perishable and pharma inbound demand, and the added bellies give forwarders scheduled, wide-body lift instead of ad hoc charters.

Seasonal services to Ottawa (YOW) and Barbados (BGI) return for the winter. Across the Atlantic, AFKLMP Cargo pairs with joint venture partner Delta Cargo to sell capacity on North Atlantic routes to and from Europe — a single commercial offer across two carriers' metal.

The hubs also lean on an intra-European trucking network, which extends the CDG and AMS catchment well beyond the airports themselves. A shipper in Lyon or Düsseldorf doesn't need to truck to Paris; the feeder network brings the hub to them.

Why the seasonal framing matters

Winter is not a quiet quarter for this cargo operation. Pierre-Olivier Bandet, Executive Vice President Cargo at Air France-KLM, spelled out the rhythm: "Winter is a demanding season for our customers, from the year-end peak to the flower season in the run-up to Valentine's Day. We combine dedicated main deck capacity with the reach of our wide-body and European belly networks via Paris and Amsterdam."

Bandet added: "With our new services to Cairo, Punta Cana and Malé, we offer our customers reliable capacity, flexibility and more choice throughout the season."

The flower season reference is concrete. Kenya-to-Europe and the broader perishables surge ahead of 14 February fill main decks every winter, and Valentine's Day 2027 falls inside this schedule window. Forwarders booking floral and perishable capacity will want to lock Cairo, ICN and India freighter space early rather than compete for it in late January.

For carriers, the plan shows AFKLMP defending two distinct products at once: guaranteed main deck lift via the 777F and 747 freighters, and breadth via 112 belly destinations including Delta's joint venture network. For forwarders, the practical takeaway is simpler — three new origin-destination pairs, one airport switch in Mumbai, and more freighter seats to Seoul, all bookable within a schedule that ends 27 March 2027.
