Air France KLM Martinair Cargo will add three destinations to its winter 2026/27 network: a new Boeing 777F freighter service to Cairo and new wide-body belly capacity to Punta Cana and Malé, as it ramps up its schedule from October 25, 2026 to March 27, 2027.
The carrier's planned winter program, built around its Paris Charles de Gaulle (CDG) and Amsterdam Schiphol (AMS) hubs, comprises 14 freighter destinations, 112 wide-body belly destinations worldwide — including those operated with joint venture partner Delta — and 54 European points.
Where does the new capacity land?
Air France will serve Cairo (CAI) three times weekly with the Boeing 777F, giving shippers dedicated main deck capacity between Europe and North Africa that is independent of passenger operations. The move strengthens the group's position on a trade lane where belly-only capacity has long constrained cargo flexibility.
In India, Air France's freighter operation switches from Mumbai (BOM) to Navi Mumbai International Airport (NMI) for the winter, maintaining two weekly Boeing 777F flights on the route.
The KLM/Martinair Boeing 747 freighter network continues linking Amsterdam with markets across the Americas, Africa and Asia. Seoul (ICN) gains frequency, with three weekly services — one standalone and two combined with Hong Kong (HKG) — increasing dedicated capacity on the Amsterdam–Seoul lane.
What joins the belly network?
From Paris CDG:
- Punta Cana (PUJ), Dominican Republic — three weekly Boeing 777-300ER flights from November
- Malé (MLE), Maldives — two weekly Airbus A350-900 flights from December
- Seasonal returns: Ottawa (YOW) in Canada and Barbados (BGI)
Both new Caribbean and Indian Ocean points open belly hold capacity on leisure-heavy routes that typically carry perishables and high-value outbound freight, including the Maldives' seafood and garment exports and the Dominican Republic's agri-flows.
AFKLMP Cargo also flagged continued ample capacity on North Atlantic routes with Delta Cargo under their joint venture, plus additional destinations reachable through global interline partnerships.
The European piece of the network — 54 narrow-body belly destinations feeding Amsterdam and Paris, complemented by intra-European trucking — gives forwarders across the continent surface access to the intercontinental system.
What does it mean for shippers?
The combination targets the seasonal squeeze points in the cargo calendar. Pierre-Olivier Bandet, Executive Vice President Cargo at Air France-KLM, said: "Winter is a demanding season for our customers, from the year-end peak to the flower season in the run-up to Valentine's Day."
"We combine dedicated main deck capacity with the reach of our wide-body and European belly networks via Paris and Amsterdam. With our new services to Cairo, Punta Cana and Malé, we offer our customers reliable capacity, flexibility and more choice throughout the season," Bandet added.
For forwarders, the practical gains are threefold: guaranteed main deck space on Europe–North Africa three times weekly, incremental wide-body belly capacity into two new long-haul markets, and denser Seoul freighter capacity from Schiphol — all bookable through the carrier's myCargo platform.
The winter maps — covering the freighter, wide-body belly and narrow-body belly networks — set out the full planned destination list for the season. With the schedule locked from late October 2026, shippers planning year-end peak and Valentine's Day flower capacity can now secure main deck and belly commitments on the new routes well ahead of the rush.
