Key points05
- Netradyne customers created more than 250 custom AI agents within a month of release.
- Netradyne Intelligence, launched in June, is built on over 30 billion miles and 150 billion minutes of driving data.
- Tuesday's update adds a Campaign Agent, a custom agent builder and conversational answers from live fleet data for U.S. and Canadian customers.
- The Collision Management Agent and MCP connector arrived in August; the Coaching Agent shipped at the June launch.
- Netradyne will demo the capabilities at ATA's Management Conference & Exhibition, Oct. 17-20 in Charlotte, N.C.
Fleet managers built more than 250 custom AI agents on Netradyne's platform within a month of release, a figure CEO Avneesh Agrawal cited Tuesday as the San Diego company expanded its agent lineup with a driver-coaching Campaign Agent, a build-your-own-agent tool and conversational answers drawn from live fleet data.
The capabilities are available now to direct Netradyne customers in the U.S. and Canada. They arrive three months after the June launch of Netradyne Intelligence, a platform built on more than 30 billion miles and 150 billion minutes of real-world driving data.
"Fleet teams are pressed for time to configure reports and piece together answers," Agrawal said in Tuesday's announcement. "Agents give managers an easy and scalable way to draw on Netradyne Intelligence. They describe what matters and agents bring it to them, with people staying in control."
What does the new Campaign Agent do?
The Campaign Agent turns coaching into a scored competition. Managers pick the safety priorities and the driver groups. The agent then runs the scoring, daily standings and driver updates on its own.
Before, during and after comparisons show where drivers improved and where they still need support. That measurement loop addresses a chronic gap in fleet safety programs: coaching that starts strong but fades without a running scoreboard.
The Campaign Agent joins two ready-made tools Netradyne says handle fleets' most time-consuming safety work:
- Collision Management Agent — handles incidents from first report to resolution; added in August alongside an MCP connector.
- Coaching Agent — available at the June launch; identifies which drivers need attention based on manager-set goals and prepares each session with driver history, top alerts and a recommended improvement plan.
Can managers build their own agents?
Yes, and that is Tuesday's central change. A manager describes in plain language what a custom agent should do — compiling a shortlist of drivers for recognition, for example, or preparing fuel-efficiency coaching packs — then picks the driver groups, conditions and schedule.
The agent delivers updated findings and recommendations in the Netradyne portal or by email. Each customer gets analysis shaped to its own priorities without rebuilding reports, the company said.
At the June launch, Chief Product Officer Pramod Akkarachittor said the agents "reason about context, execute multi-step workflows, and follow through on behalf of managers." Tuesday's update lets managers themselves decide what that work is.
Agrawal framed the problem the same way in June, arguing that fleets had already invested in operational visibility but that "the real challenge now is execution."
Where do the answers come from?
Managers can now ask plain-language questions about their fleet and get answers grounded in live data. Follow-up questions dig into what changed and why, broken out by driver, group, behavior or time period. When an answer proves useful, the manager can convert it into an agent that runs on a schedule.
Those questions also work outside Netradyne's portal. The MCP connector, which Netradyne describes as a secure bridge to fleet-specific insights, extends fleet context into third-party AI tools such as ChatGPT and Claude, where teams can ask questions and build agents.
For fleets, the commercial stakes are straightforward: safety coaching time translates directly into retention and insurance exposure, and the 250-agent figure suggests early adopters are finding the tools sticky enough to customize rather than merely consume.
Netradyne will demonstrate the expanded capabilities at the American Trucking Associations' Management Conference & Exhibition, running Oct. 17-20 at the Charlotte Convention Center in Charlotte, N.C. — a venue where competing telematics vendors will be showing their own AI pitches, and where the pace of agent releases since June suggests more additions are likely before year-end.
