Key points05
- Aerios reports a 10-15% fuel burn accuracy gain over DCT and GCD shortcuts.
- Three flight planning feeds — Jeppesen ForeFlight, PPS, and Airbus NAVBLUE N-FP — now sit inside the Aerios quote screen.
- CEO Simon Watson cites high jet fuel prices and a soft charter market as the commercial driver behind the upgrade.
- Aerios has released four major product updates in 2026, including AI, CargoAi and Wiremind integrations.
- Sales teams can import contracted fuel prices via CSV and override pricing manually inside the Aerios app.
Charter technology provider Aerios has connected three major flight planning systems to its quoting platform, lifting fuel burn accuracy by 10-15% and removing the long-standing trade-off between speed and precision in air charter pricing.
The new build integrates Jeppesen ForeFlight, PPS and Airbus NAVBLUE N-FP directly into the Aerios workflow. Flight planning data — aircraft performance, routing, weather, wind, block time and fuel burn — now flows straight into the sales team's quote screen, where Aerios layers carrier-specific fuel pricing on top to produce a fuel cost figure without manual reconciliation.
How much more accurate is the new workflow?
Aerios puts the precision gain at 10-15% over the direct routing (DCT) and Great Circle Distance (GCD) shortcuts that charter sales teams have relied on for years. The company says DCT and GCD estimates rely on simplified routing assumptions that can materially underestimate flight time and fuel burn — a margin leak that widens sharply when jet fuel is expensive.
Why does speed still matter in a soft market?
The update targets a structural friction in air charter sales. Brokers have historically faced a binary choice: run a fast estimate and risk underquoting on a long leg, or wait on a dispatcher for full Flight Planning System data and risk losing the request to a faster competitor.
Aerios chief executive Simon Watson framed the choice bluntly: "Striking the right balance between speed and accuracy can make or break a deal."
What does Aerios change for sales and dispatch?
The integration pulls block time and fuel burn from ForeFlight, PPS or NAVBLUE N-FP, then automatically applies the carrier's contracted fuel price. Sales teams can also import updated supplier pricing via CSV or override prices manually inside the app, which Aerios says keeps contractual fuel terms aligned with the live spot market without leaving the quote screen.
"With jet fuel prices high and the charter market soft, accuracy matters more than ever," Watson said. "Sales teams can't afford to wait on Dispatch, overquote and lose the opportunity, or underquote and erode margin."
Where does this fit in Aerios's 2026 product roadmap?
The fuel burn module is the fourth major release from Aerios this year, following a packed 2026 product cycle:
- January 2026: AI module designed to automate responses to charter requests
- February 2026: CargoAi partnership to embed real-time rate and capacity data
- April 2026: Wiremind ULD and pallet optimization tool for loadability
The cadence points to a company consolidating point tools — fuel pricing, AI, capacity data, loadability — into a single workspace where sales, dispatch and pricing read from the same data feed. For charter operators running on thin 2026 margins, the commercial consequence is fewer manual handoffs and fewer quotes that leak value between the dispatcher and the sales desk.
What comes next for charter pricing?
Watson's framing of high jet fuel, soft demand and thin margins points to continued pressure on sales teams to quote faster without giving up the accuracy that protects contribution.
Aerios's recent run of integrations suggests the next releases will keep narrowing the gap between Flight Planning System data and the quote, rather than expanding into new feature categories.
